On August 20, 1951, filming of the Adventures of
Superman continued with the third set of five episodes:
"The Monkey Mystery," "The Deserted Village,"
"Rescue," "Treasure of the Incas," and
"The Haunted Lighthouse." This set of episodes was
filmed between Monday, August 20 and Saturday, September 1,
1951. A couple things to note: 1) These episodes were grouped
together because the same cave was used in all five. 2) On
Friday, August 25, Steve Carr was the doctor on the train for
part of the day and Lt. Haines for the remainder. 3) Michael
Vallon worked on only one day. So in "The Monkey
Mystery," when Lois asked Clark, "Today is the
24th, isn't it?" she's wrong... it was the 31st. It's
interesting to note too that all of Allene Roberts' scenes
were filmed in one day.
