To all our good friends who visit TAC & Glass House Presents, it is our honor to announce the New York City appearance of the wonderful and lovely Noel Neill. Ms. Neill will be accompanied by her good friend, Mr. Larry Ward, author of Truth, Justice and the American Way: The Life and Times of Noel Neill, The Original Lois Lane and Beyond Lois Lane. Special thanks to Promoter Terry Soto for bringing this very special lady to the Big Apple so the many loyal fans can live their dream of meeting the original Lois Lane of Superman on screen fame. Superman on screen has been extremely fortunate to have Noel in almost every screen project. Noel became the first on screen Lois Lane for two Kirk Alyn movie serials, Superman (1948) and Atom Man Vs. Superman (1950), followed by the Adventures of Superman TV series (1953 through 1957) with George Reeves. Fans were greatly surprised and thrilled as Noel had a cameo as little Lois Lane's mom in the big budget Superman: The Movie (1978) starring Christopher Reeve. Noel along with Superman's pal Mr. Jack Larson appeared in an episode of Saturday morning TV's Superboy starring Gerard Christopher (1991). It wouldn't be the last time Noel and Jack were reunited with the "Man of Steel" as the two appeared in the recent Superman Returns (2006). Noel had the opening dialog and scene with Mr. Kevin Spacey, aka the diabolical Lex Luthor. In 2006, Warner Brothers released a Smallville season DVD boxset starring Tom Welling as Clark Kent. A special feature included a tribute to all the Lois Lane actresses, Noel being the most honorary. Noel also participated in two episode commentaries for the Adventures of Superman Second Season DVD boxset as well as documentaries for subsequent season releases. In a special DVD release she brought forth many wonderful insights of her experiences and special feeling towards George Reeves in the Look, Up in the Sky! The Amazing Story of Superman. Noel has been a true ambassador to the ever growing popular character, Superman. We hope you all will come and greet Noel and Larry. I can't think of a better way to kick off the holiday season.
Thanks for Watching. Jim & Lou (October 23, 2007)
Lou's Travel Advise Alert: I urge those with plans to attend to take the train to Penn Station. It really is the best option. Unlike to old days, you WILL NOT find free parking on the city streets. Fuel consumption and street parking (if you are lucky to get a spot) cost or garage parking will cost you more than the train. Mayor Bloomberg is doing all he can to improve our NYC air quality and we should do our part to support the mass transit campaign. Speaking from experience it's a whole lot better than dealing with city traffic or trying to find a place to park. |
