And now, another exciting episode in the
Adventures of Superman...

Monday August 6, 1951 was the first day of filming of the second set of episodes which included “The Mind Machine,” “No Holds Barred,” “The Birthday Letter,” “The Stolen Costume,” and “Mystery In Wax.”

Supporting Players:

Griff Barnett - Dr. Stanton (Single day)
Steve Carr - Dr. Hadley
Dan Seymour - Cranek (Single day)
Ben Welden - Curly (Single day))
James Seay - Sen. Taylor (Single day)
Harry Hayden - Carl Wagoner
Bert LeBaron - Al (Single Day)

Filming today focused on "The Mind Machine." Considering that all scenes with Griff Barnett, Dan Seymour, Ben Welden, and James Seay were shot, this must have been a busy day for all involved. The scenes with Cranek alone would have taken considerable time: Stealing the machine, convincing Dr. Stanton to operate it, playing cards with Curly, the fight scene at the end. But there were also the scenes involving Sen. Taylor with Kent and then the questioning of Carl Wagoner.

Because the committee room was set up and the spectators assembled, the scene with Carl Wagoner leaving that room was probably also filmed... and perhaps the scene showing Lois and Clark following him was also done. But because Lester Dorr worked on Day 2 only, we know that the scenes on Baldwin Hills were slated for Tuesday.
