October 4, 1951 – Thursday Supporting
Players: Most of this day's action involved scenes from "Crime Wave." John Eldredge reported for work, but John Hamilton was not due back until the following Tuesday, so we can know that any scenes involving Walter Canby and Perry White together were NOT done today. On the other hand, Bobby Barber worked only this one day, so we can be equally sure that Walter Canby told the boys "from here on in everything goes. Pour it on." Also, Sally’s going take pictures of those closest to Superman… something she had already done two days before. The only piece of work left for "Czar of the Underworld" happened on the studio parking lot that was substituting for the airport parking lot. The shadows cast by the automobiles suggests that the entire sequence on the parking lot was filmed in a relatively short period of time.
Note: Joe Mell (the professor) worked only October 6, so the scene at Canby's little place he had rigged up... the one at Dover's Cliff near Willow Falls... was filmed on the coming Saturday. We'll return to the "Adventures of Superman" in just a moment. Next: Posted:
