TAC, Jr. #53
"The Adventures Continue"
with George Reeves
October, 2003
Welcome to the new "TAC, Jr." I can't promise one
every month, but I can promise to send out interesting and important
news whenever I have some to share.
1) PHOTO AND MOVIE LIST -
A new Photo of the Month has been posted at The
Adventures Continue. Also Bob Warshawsky has again identified
some George Reeves films being shown on the Turner Classic Movies
channel. My pick for this month is Tear Gas Squad from
1940.
Druggist Joe McCabe foils a robbery, and his brother Tommy
decides to join the state police in order to impress Joe and
Tommy's new date, Jerry, a policeman's daughter. When the robbers
exact revenge on Joe, Tommy hunts them down. (Plot summary written
by Jim Beaver for imdb.com)
In addition to George Reeves (Joe McCabe), look for John Hamilton
as the Police Chief, Ralph Sanford as a policeman, and Ben Welden
as, what else, one of the crooks.
2) THE ADVENTURES OF JIM BEAVER -
Some of you may knew Jim Beaver through his contributions to
The Adventures Continue magazine.
Through the years he has been a good friend and valuable source
of information on George Reeves. Jim is a writer and actor. He
has appeared in several films and television shows including
Lois and Clark with Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher. This Sunday
evening Jim will appear on Rob Lowe's The Lyon's Den on
NBC (10:00pm Eastern and Pacific, 9 Central Time). (Do a search
at imdb.com for "Jim Beaver." You might be surprised
at the number of credits found there.)
3) NOEL NEILL RADIO INTERVIEW -
Those of you who live in the Philadelphia area may want to tune
in to WPEN 950am on your dial tomorrow morning (October 4)at
8:30 to catch the interview with Noel Neill. And check out Noel's
other appearances and interviews listed at The
Adventures Continue web site. She's bound to be somewhere
near you soon.
I'll be attending the Chiller Theatre convention on Saturday,
November 1. Noel will be there to sign copies of her biography,
Truth, Justice, & The American
Way by Larry Ward.
4) CROSSWORD PUZZLE -
Some weeks ago I published a crossword puzzle at The
Adventures Continue website, but haven't received much
feedback concerning it. Perhaps you missed it. If so, you can
find it at http://www.jimnolt.com/xword.htm.
Let me know what you think. If enough people like it, I might
try another.
